Partner Migration

To make an application under this category there are six main sub classes:

I. Skilled - Australian Sponsored – This Skilled Migration visa category is only available to those whose sponsors live outside the designated areas covered by the Skilled Regional Sponsored category. The applicant must have a sponsor (relative) and an assuror, and must satisfy the basic requirements and the points test. (Visa Subclass 138)

II. Skilled - Designated Area Sponsored - This Skilled Migration visa category is not point tested and available to those who are willing to settle in certain designated regions of Australia. The applicant must have a sponsor (relative) and an assuror, and must satisfy the basic requirements (Visa Subclass 139)

III. Skilled - Onshore Australian Sponsored New Zealand Citizen - This Skilled - Independent visa category is only available to New Zealand citizens in Australia who wants to apply for permanent residence, the applicant must have a sponsor (relative) and an assuror, and must satisfy the basic requirements and the points.(Visa Subclass 862)

IV. Skilled - Onshore Designated Area Sponsored New Zealand Citizen - This Skilled Migration visa category is not point tested and available to New Zealand citizens in Australia who wants to apply for permanent residence and those who are willing to settle in certain designated regions of Australia. The applicant must have a sponsor (relative) and an assuror, and must satisfy the basic.(Visa Subclass 863)

V. Skilled - Australian Sponsored Overseas Student - This Skilled Migration visa category is only available to overseas students in Australia wishing to apply for permanent residence and those whose sponsors live outside the designated areas covered by the Skilled Regional Sponsored category. The applicant must have a sponsor (relative) and an assuror, and must satisfy the basic requirements and the points test. (Visa Subclass 881)

VI. Skilled - Designated Area Sponsored Overseas Student - This Skilled Migration visa category is only available to overseas students in Australia wishing to apply for permanent residence and those who are willing to settle in certain designated regions of Australia and the applicant must have a sponsor (relative) and an assuror, and must satisfy the basic requirements and the points test. (Visa Subclass 882)
